PROVEN RESULTS
Delivering real results that protect taxpayers, strengthen oversight, and support community growth.
COVID-19 Relief Funding Oversight & Fiscal Accountability
Laura authored a resolution requiring County Board oversight and approval of nearly $33 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds, ensuring that all CARES Act and American Rescue Plan dollars were spent transparently, responsibly, and with full public accountability. Her resolution created a formal process for reviewing and approving federal or state funds received outside the regular budget cycle — protecting taxpayers, strengthening fiscal oversight, and ensuring that critical resources were allocated where the community needed them most.
Kemper Center Revitalization & Economic Development Leadership
Laura led efforts to secure a major private investment in the historic Kemper Center by advocating for an early lease renewal — unlocking a $2 million private commitment to revitalize the campus into a vibrant cultural and event destination. This initiative is projected to generate significant economic benefit for Kenosha County through increased tourism, expanded programming, and sustainable long-term revenue, while preserving one of the community’s most important historic assets.
Strengthening Oversight Across County Government
Through her roles as Chair of Judiciary & Law Enforcement and Vice Chair of Public Works & Facilities, Laura has pushed for stronger accountability, detailed budget reviews, and transparent reporting, helping residents better understand how county resources are managed.
Leadership on Countywide Initiatives
Laura has contributed to modernization and community-focused initiatives, including the county rebranding effort and her work as an appointee to the Kemper Center, Inc. Board. Her leadership emphasizes collaboration, stability, and long-term planning.
Laura is running for re-election to continue delivering results with honesty, transparency, and a steady hand — because District 4 deserves a representative who puts residents first.
